The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:5 (NIV) Child of God you are the light just as Jesus is the Light and you should go out there and shine. How do you shine? You shine by being like Jesus. Jesus preached the gospel, healed the sick and feed the hungry, you do likewise. Share the gospel in your sphere of contact, pray for others and give to the poor. When you live this way, you will not be overcome by darkness but you will shine as the light. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Proverbs 6:6-8 When God created Adam, He gave him work. You are created to work. You have to be responsible enough to come to place where you work without oversight. Work weather you are being watched or not, work weather you have a supervisor or not. That is the wisdom that God gave the ants, they work without any supervision. Nobody has to tell you to wake up and pursue your purpose. You have to be responsible enough to do what you are supposed to do and that is maturity. Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who is in need.
