PRAY FOR PROSPERITY

Save now, I pray, O LORD; O LORD, I pray, send now prosperity. Psalm 118:25 Some people think that we shouldn’t pray for prosperity or that praying for prosperity is selfish. However, according to the above Scripture, the Psalmist prayed for prosperity. What do you know! It is Scriptural to pray for prosperity. God wants you prosper all the time; He wants you to prosper in all that you do and in every area of your life. We have been called to a life of prosperity. Prosperity is from God. Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2 Have you ever wondered, what would happen if you prayed the above Scripture verse? The Word of God teaches us not only how to live but also how to communicate with Him. You can pray Scriptures and when you do, you would be praying in line with God’s will. And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would b...

PERFECT PROSPERITY

The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; do not forsake the works of Your hands. Psalm 138:8 God wants you to have perfect prosperity, perfect health, perfect peace, etc. He wants to perfect that which concerns you. Your life should get better and better, greater and greater until there is nothing lacking and nothing missing. Now that’s God’s plan. But the path of the just is like the shining sun that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. Proverbs 4:18 In order for this to happen, you have to be plugged in to God’s unlimited supply. Look to God as your Source; don’t put your trust in man but in God. Rely on God’s grace. So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of hosts. Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”’” Zechariah 4:6...

LEARN TO DO GOOD

Learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow. Isaiah 1:17 The good that you do today will benefit you tomorrow. Learn to do good because when you do good today you are sowing good seeds into your future and good will be repaid back to you. That’s the law of life and the beauty of it. You can create a beautiful future by living a principled life today. You don’t have to be a victim; you can be a victor in life by sowing the right seeds. Years ago, I learnt that you are rewarded according to how you live your life. From that time on I became adamant to live right and to be a good person. That decision has helped me to stay on the right path, needless to say that it pays to live right. I’m living a blessed life because Jesus has made my life beautiful. God will reward you for staying on the right path. Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Isaiah 3:10 You can choos...

THERE IS NO ROOM FOR CONFUSION

Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. Psalm 97:11 The world walks in darkness, they don’t know what makes them stumble, but light is sown for the righteous. As a child of God, you don’t have walk in confusion or darkness because light is sown for you. You are a child of the light and Jesus is your Light. Take advantage of the Light and don’t walk in darkness. Then Jesus spoke to them again saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12 You might be faced with a predicament and you feel like you don’t know where to go or what to do. Have no worry, anxiety or stress. Just be cool and relax because God already knew about it and He has the solution. Light is sown for you, just pray about it and the solution will come. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God; and the peace of God, whic...

THERE IS HOPE FOR YOU

There is hope in your future, says the LORD… Jeremiah 31:17 Child of God, I’m telling you that there is hope for you in your future. As you keep to the right path, seeking God and serving Him, your faith cannot be denied and things will definitely get better. You have been called into an ever-increasing life, there is hope for you. Your life is from faith to faith, strength to strength, grace to grace and glory to glory. Hallelujah! But the path of the just is like the shinning sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. Proverbs 4:18 Just keep your hope alive, don’t quit, and never give up. If things don’t look good at the moment, cheer up the best is yet to come; your best days are ahead of you. Be filled with hope, Jesus is on the throne, He reigns on high and He has a beautiful life planned for you. Moreover, Jesus ever lives to make intercession for you and His promises are yes and amen. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those that come to...

PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE

Who is like a wise man? And who knows the interpretation of a thing? A man’s wisdom makes his face shine, and the sternness of his face is changed. Ecclesiastes 8:1 People are drawn to people with warm faces and this is the condition of people of wisdom. Wisdom brings joy and peace. Wisdom lightens up your face. It makes you stay in a lightened-up mood. People of wisdom have a glow on them. Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Proverbs 4:5 The Bible tells us to get wisdom and understanding. Where is your focus? When you focus on the world and what it has to say, you will have stress, worry and anxiety. But, when you focus on the wisdom of God, you will be in a lightened-up mood. Fear comes from the world, but faith comes from the Word which is the wisdom of God. You cannot be full of the Word and fear at the same time. You cannot be full of the wisdom of God and be full of stress, worry and anxiety at the same time. When yo...

LIVING RIGHTEOUSLY WILL DELIVER YOU FROM TROUBLE

“Thus the Lord has dealt with me, in the days when He looked on me, to take away my reproach among people.” Luke 1:25 Our opening Scripture records the words of Elizabeth who had been barren and now she had conceived. God took away her reproach. When you live righteously, God will take away your reproach. When you live righteously, God will deliver you from trouble. The righteous is delivered from trouble, and it comes to the wicked instead. Proverbs 11:8 It does not matter how long you have been in a challenging situation, if you keep on living righteously God will take away your reproach. That is what breakthrough is all about, you have been doing things right in unfavorable circumstances until suddenly things begin to change and you experience breakthrough. If you will live righteously, you will see the faithfulness of God. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful and He remains ...

HAVING CHILDLIKE FAITH

But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14 You need childlike faith to believe the gospel and be born again. You do not do it by being analytical or weighing the options. You simply believe and receive the message that is preached. From that simple act of believing and receiving, you inherit the kingdom of heaven. In a similar fashion, when you simply believe and receive the message of prosperity, healing, divine health and all the blessings that Jesus died for you to have, you begin to walk in them. Faith arises when you know the will of God for your life and the Word of God is the will of God. The only way you will take possession of your inheritance is by having childlike faith, which comes from you being knowledgeable about the Word of God. It’s all about taking God at His Word, the same way you did when you received your salvation. So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the wor...

THE WORD GIVES LIGHT

That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming in to the world. John 1:9 Many people are struggling with identity and do not know their purpose in life. Others do not have order in their lives and they struggle to live lives that are pleasing to God, consequently, they are always in trouble. All of this is happening because they lack the Word in their lives. Child of God, the Word is the light of men. It brings order into a chaotic situation. The Word gives light. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. Genesis 1:1-3 When God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was without form and void, but when God spoke the Word, things changed. The Word can bring order into your life; the Word can bring light into your life. When you have the Word...

DOING YOUR BEST

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going. Ecclesiastes 9:10 We are living in the days where mediocrity is the norm. Most people will do just enough to get by. However, the above Scripture lets us know that we have to do our best. When you start something, be determined to give it your best; be determined to finish what you have started well. You could be writing a book, preparing to run a marathon or composing a song, whatever project you might be involved in, be determined to stay with it and finish what you have started. Do it with excellence and to excel means to exceed expectations, to go the extra mile or to be above average. To excel means high performance. And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. Colossians 3:23-24 There is a reward for ...

THE SUFFERINGS OF CHRIST BRING GLORY

Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory? Luke 24:26 Before glory come sufferings. Before victory come challenges. Challenges are opportunities to go to the next level, they are stepping stones. Challenges are not there to destroy you but to make you smarter, wiser and better. Those who live right go through challenges because the enemy is trying to stop them from living right. However, when they persevere, they enter into a glorious life. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:18 When you go through challenges don’t quit living right, endure until you enter into a glorious life. If we suffer with Christ, we shall be glorified with Him. Promotion comes from above, and it comes when you have passed the tests of life. Life is not smooth sailing; you will meet challenges and storms of life. However, you need to overcome and you have what...

GOD IS THE RIGHTEOUS JUDGE

But, O LORD of hosts, You who judge righteously, testing the mind and the heart, let me see Your vengeance on them, for to You I have revealed my cause. Jeremiah 11:20 God is righteous which means God is always right, He doesn’t make a mistake and He is perfect. Only He can make accurate judgements and the above Scripture sheds some light why. It says that God tests the minds and the hearts meaning God sees beyond our words and actions, He sees the minds and the hearts. You cannot hide anything form God. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 The above Scripture lets us know that the Word of God can make a distinction between the soul and spirit and can discern your thoughts and your heart’s intentions. You see even the Word of God knows you. The following verse establishes this truth f...

ONE WAY JESUS

And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved. Acts 2:21 In the Old Testament the name Jehovah is prevalent. However, in the New Testament, we see the name Jesus being prevalent. Jesus is Lord. When we call on Him, we shall be saved. When you get born again, God saves you from going to hell and you are going to heaven. He saves you from sin and sin does not have dominion over you. He saves you from destruction and He gives you life. He saves you from God’s wrath and He will never be wrath with you. This is all because of what Jesus has done. He died for you and paid the price for you to be reconciled with God. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6 Jesus is the way to the Father. It is in the define article, “the way” not “a way,” Jesus is the only way. Man through religion tries to get to God. However, God has provided a living way for mankind to have a relatio...

LIFE IS IN THE WORD

In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. John 1:5 Jesus is the One called the Word of God. He is the Word that became flesh. Life is in Him; life is in the Word of God. People everywhere are looking for life and they look for it in relationships, religion, achievements, material possessions and so forth. However, our opening Scripture gives us insight that life is not found in those things, life is found in the Word of God. The Word of God will give life to other areas of your life. That should tell you how absolutely vital and essential the Word of God is. Jesus said that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. The Word of God is of paramount importance. But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4 Do you want life? Then go for the Word. Keep the Word first place and make it a priority in your life. Make the W...

KNOWLEDGE WILL EMPOWER YOU

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. Hosea 4:6 Some people are destroyed because of lack of knowledge of the Word of God. They walk in ignorance to God’s Word. They do not know what God has said in His Word and they are still in darkness. They are destroyed by poverty, sicknesses and the like. They are living in defeat and hopelessness. Nevertheless, God has given us His Word and victory is in His Word. He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Psalm 107:20 God sent His Word as an instruction manual to instruct us in godly living. He sent the Word to heal our broken bodies and to deliver us from destructive lives. Now we can live in peace, joy, prosperity, health and wholeness. When you have knowledge of the Scriptures that will put you at an advantageous position...

YOU LIVE IN THE ARK

Now the flood was on the earth forty days. The waters increased and lifted the ark, and it rose high above the earth. Genesis 7:17 When the Lord destroyed the earth with the flood, there was a flood for forty days and forty nights, Noah and his family where in the ark, as the water rose, the ark rose above the waters. As a child of God, figuratively, you live in the ark. The world around you may be going through trouble but you are safe in the ark. You are in the world but you are not of the world. When the world is going through trouble you just go upward and forward. You are resting in God’s grace and love. You have peace on the inside, you are untouched by trouble. There could be pestilence and famine going on around you but it will not come to you. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. Psalm 91:7 Live in the secret place of the Most High, “in the ark,” in His presence and His glory. There no weapon forme...

REIGNING THROUGH JESUS

For if by one man’s offence death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:17 When we believe in Jesus, we receive the gift of righteousness, righteousness is imputed to us and the when we spend time with Him, we receive grace to help in time of need. The more we spend time with Him the more we receive grace until we have abundance of grace and reign in life through Him. And of His fullness we have received, and grace for grace. John 1:16 Jesus has been given all authority and the authority that Adam lost He has restored back to us. We now have authority and dominion on the earth in His name. Whatever we bind on earth is bound in heaven and whatever we lose on earth is loosed in heaven. Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Matthew 18:18 It is time that ...

BUILD YOUR LIFE ON THE WORD

Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. Luke 6:47-48 The Word of God lives and abides forever and it never fails. When you build your life on the Word, you build your life on the solid rock and your life will endure the tests of life. Many people build their lives on sand and at the end they are put to shame. However, those who build their lives on the Word build it on the solid rock and they will never be put to shame, that’s because the Word works. As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust Him. Psalm 18:30 The Word of God lets us know that nothing is new under the sun, what is happening now has happened before in some way or form. However, in the midst of all ...

THE SECRET OF THE LORD

The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant. Psalm 25:14 There are secrets of the kingdom of God; keys that will cause you to flourish when you apply them. However, this time David shows us that there is the main secret, and he calls it the secret of the LORD. He uses a definite article “the secret” not “a secret,” furthermore, “the secret” is in the singular form not plural. What is the secret of the LORD? He let us know in the verse that follows. My eyes are ever toward the LORD, for He shall pluck my feet out of the net. Psalm 25:15 David says here that he will fix his eyes or focus on God and God will pluck his feet out of the net that the enemy has laid out for him. In other words, David is saying here that he will seek God and God will deliver him out of every trouble. The secret of the Lord is seeking God, spending time with Him and focusing on Him. The secret of the Lord is intimacy with God. Some people want the principle...

IT’S THE ANOINTING THAT BREAKS THE YOKE

And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. Isaiah 10:27 (KJV)                                                                                             Beloved, it is all in the anointing. The anointing is the presence and the power of God upon a believer that enables him or her to accomplish God’s work. The yoke of sickness, poverty, stagnation, etc. can be destroyed by the anointing....

REJOICE!

This is the day the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24 Today is a new day and you can rejoice and be glad in it. As a child of God, you can rejoice every day because you are forgiven, you are the healed, you are rich and you are blessed. No matter what your life looks like right now, you can rejoice. Do not let temporary circumstances still your joy, choose to rejoice.   You could be saying, “I have pain in my body or I’ve been diagnosed with an illness.” You see that is a fact and facts can change. What is the truth? By Jesus’ stripes you are healed. Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by whose stripes you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24 You could be saying, “I’m in debt and things are not looking good financially.” That is only a fact and facts can change. What is the truth? Jesus became poor that you may be rich and you are a joint-heir with Christ Jesus. For you kno...

CREATED FOR GOOD WORKS

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 There are good works that God wants you to walk in. God wants you to be fruitful and productive. We are God’s workmanship and the sheep of His pasture. When we follow Him, He leads us to bear good fruit and produce good works. When we follow Him, we bear the fruit of the Spirit and produce good works. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23 We are created to produce good works that advance the kingdom of God. There are good works that we need to get involved in like giving to the poor, serving in the local church, planting churches, winning souls and leading many to righteousness. You also produce good works when you pursue your purpose. We have to engage in advancing the kingdom of God by bearing good frui...

SAVED BY GRACE

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 We are saved by grace and not by our good works. You cannot earn your salvation, no matter how many good deeds you get involved in. Salvation is a free gift of God that you receive by faith in the Lord Jesus. If salvation is a free gift of God, then why are so many people not born again? That’s because the devil has blinded them. They need our prayers so that God can move on their behalf. God does not intervene unless we ask Him to do it. We need to pray for the lost; we need to pray for souls. You can start by praying for people close to you like family members, relatives, friends, neighbors, colleagues, etc. When you have adequately prayed for others then you can share the gospel with them. If not at least invite them to church. Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? Isaiah 53:1 W...

JESUS TAKES AWAY THE CONSEQUENCES OF SIN

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13-14   When Jesus takes away sins, He also takes away the consequences of sins. Jesus takes away the curse which came as a result of man’s sin. When He takes away the curse, the blessing of Abraham comes upon us. Every child of God is blessed with the blessings of Abraham. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. Ephesians 1:3 When Adam sinned the curse came into the world. When you are under the law the curse works effectually in your life, but praise the Lord! We are not under the law but under grace. When you receive Jesus, He takes away the curse and He gives you the blessing. He make...

JESUS TAKES AWAY SIN

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29 Sin separates man from God. This is precisely what happened to Adam. When Adam sinned, he became estranged from God. He no longer had a healthy and living relationship with God, where God and Adam would fellowship together. He became separated from God, all because of sin. He was driven out of the Garden. Adam first died spiritually and then physically. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 Jesus came to restore the relationship that was lost between God and man. He came to give us life, eternal life, life as God has it. When you receive Jesus and confess Him as your Lord and Saviour, you receive eternal life and you are reconciled and restored to a relationship with God. That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has...

GOD’S THOUGHTS CONCERNING YOU

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 Beloved, you might find that you are not where you want to be or your life did not quite turn out the way you thought it would. Maybe, you are not as swift, strong or wise as you would like to be. There is hope for you and Jesus is your hope. God has good thoughts concerning you. Taking it from our opening Scripture, God has thoughts of peace toward you; however, these thoughts are in His Word clothed in vocabulary. What you need do is to delve into the Word, because all His exceedingly great and precious promises are not on the surface. You must dig deep to take possession of them. You need to exchange your thoughts about yourself with God’s thoughts concerning you. Whatever God says about you in His Word, let it dominate your thinking. Let the Word saturate your mind. Renew your mind with the Word of God. And do not be conformed ...

MAKE YOURSELF GOOD

Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. Matthew 12:33 Did you ever know that a person can make him or herself good or bad? It is entirely up to you as a child of God to make yourself good or bad, and there are ways in which you make yourself good or bad. You make yourself good by choosing good influence, which entails the things you watch, read, and listen to, the places you go to and the people you spend most of your time with. All these influence you to be a good person if they are good influence. He who walks with wise men will be wise, but a companion of fools will be destroyed. Proverbs 13:20 Conversely, you make yourself bad when you are influenced by bad influence such as the things you watch, read, and listen to, the places you go to and the people you spend most of your time with. All these influence you to be a bad person if it is bad influence. Do not be deceived: “Evil company...

REST

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 We are living in stressful times and many people are battling to cope with daily demands. You could be struggling with depressing thoughts or some seemingly insurmountable challenge that is causing you stress, worry and anxiety. There is a way out. You can find rest when you come to Jesus. You find rest by coming to Jesus and spending time with Him. He will ease your mind and give you rest; He will restore your soul. Sadly, too many people are busy about many things and they neglect fellowship with the Lord. If you will make time for the Lord and make spending time with Him a priority, then stress, worry and anxiety will melt like wax in His presence. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. For My yoke is easy and burden is light. Matthew 11:30 If you want to travel light, I encourage you to make spending time with God a priority. God wants you to rest inwardly, so that you can be...
