The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:5 (NIV) Child of God you are the light just as Jesus is the Light and you should go out there and shine. How do you shine? You shine by being like Jesus. Jesus preached the gospel, healed the sick and feed the hungry, you do likewise. Share the gospel in your sphere of contact, pray for others and give to the poor. When you live this way, you will not be overcome by darkness but you will shine as the light. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and gives light to all who are in the house.
