However, in the New Testament, we see the name Jesus being prevalent. Jesus is Lord. When we call on Him, we shall be saved. When you get born again, God saves you from going to hell and you are going to heaven. He saves you from sin and sin does not have dominion over you. People everywhere are looking for life and they look for it in relationships, religion, achievements, material possessions and so forth. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 We are saved by grace and not by our good works. You cannot earn your salvation, no matter how many good deeds you get involved in. Salvation is a free gift of God that you receive by faith in the Lord Jesus. If salvation is a free gift of God, then why are so many people not born again? That’s because the devil has blinded them. They need our prayers so that God can move on their behalf. God does not intervene unless we ask Him to do it. We need to pray for the lost; we need to pray for souls. There is little or no financial progress in their lives. That is because some neglect the importance of saving for the future. Take note from our opening Scripture that it is not those who labor who will increase but those who gather by labor, meaning those who work and save will increase.
