OVERCOMING CHALLENGES

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith.

1 John 5:4

Challenges are a part of life. They are tests of life and we all go through them. Challenges don’t defeat a man but a man’s wrong response to challenges can defeat him. Challenges are not there to destroy us, but to make us stronger, wiser and better.

This world presents us challenges, however when you are born again you overcome the world. As believers we overcome by our faith. Faith is our victory.

We are not moved by what we see, hear or feel but we are moved by the Word of God. We walk by faith and not by sight. In the midst of challenges, we stand on the Word of God and believe His promises.

Our faith comes before our possession. We believe it first and then we will see it. No mountain or giant can stand before faith. By faith we can move mountains and by faith we can slay giants. Faith pleases God. Faith gets God on the scene.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Hebrews 11:6

Your faith will put you over. It will be done to you according to your faith. What do you believe? Nothing is impossible if you would believe. By faith we can achieve the humanly impossible. Faith is our victory over adverse circumstances. Challenges come and go, but the man or woman of faith remains standing on the promises of God.

That you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Hebrews 6:12

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me faith to overcome the world. Thank You for making me an overcomer, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

HUMBLE PEOPLE PRAY

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 Our opening Scripture clearly states that if God’s people who are called by His name will humble themselves and pray. Humble people pray. Prayerful people are humble people. Proud people don’t pray because they think that they don’t have to. They fail to realize how much they need God. However, Jesus said that without Him we can do nothing. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. HAVING CHILDLIKE FAITH

But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14 You need childlike faith to believe the gospel and be born again. You do not do it by being analytical or weighing the options. You simply believe and receive the message that is preached. From that simple act of believing and receiving, you inherit the kingdom of heaven. In a similar fashion, when you simply believe and receive the message of prosperity, healing, divine health and all the blessings that Jesus died for you to have, you begin to walk in them.
