WORK IS A BLESSING

…for a worker is worthy of his food. Matthew 10:10 When you work you will eat. Work is a blessing not a curse. In the Garden of Eden, the first responsibility that God gave man was to work. You were created to work. You were created to produce. Sometimes people can fall into a trap of laziness. They make excuses like, “there are no jobs.” If there are no jobs, you can create one. God has made us to be creative beings. There is no need to be idle, if you look hard enough, you can find something to do. You can see a problem you can solve or a need you can meet and that is what entrepreneurs do. In all labor there is profit, but idle chatter leads only to poverty. Proverbs 14:23 There is a problem out there with your name on it. You were born as a solution to a problem. You can make a difference. Train your mind to think of solutions and solve problems. Use your mind, one of the best advices I have ever got was to work hard with my mind. So, there are no excuses not to work. You can alway...

NO MORE CURSE BUT THE BLESSING

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13-14 When you are born again, you are redeemed from the curse and the blessing of Abraham has come upon you. Glory to God! When things don’t seem to be working, it does not mean that you are cursed. It just means you need to do the Word. The Word of God is the manual for life, you have to live by the Word; there are no shortcuts. Many people are looking for blessings, however as a child of God you are already blessed, and no man can curse what God has blessed. You are blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ and the spiritual blessings produce the physical blessings. Blessed be the God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the hea...

DIRECTING YOUR HEART THROUGH YOUR GIVING

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:21 When your money is in the things of God, your heart will be in the things of God. You can direct heart through your giving. When you give first fruits, pay tithes, give offerings and partner with ministries, you direct your heart to be in the things of God. Your heart will follow your treasure. We ought to take giving to the kingdom of God seriously, because where our treasure is, there our hearts will be also. We should not serve money, but serve God with our money. Don’t let money dictate whether you can give to God or not. Serve God with your money. No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:24 First fruits, tithes, offerings and partnering with ministries help the kingdom of God to do well financially. They help to keep God’s work going. When we give to the kingdom of God,...

YOU ARE THE SALT IN YOUR WORLD

You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavour, how shall be it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. Matthew 5:13 You are the salt in your world. One of the benefits of salt is that it preserves. You preserve your world or your sphere of contact. You see if it wasn’t for believers around, things would get totally out of hand, where it would be evil continually. Thankfully, as a believer you influence your world. You can boldly live a life that pleases God because you preserve your world. If you were not there, things would fall apart. Stand out and distinguish yourself with a godly lifestyle, because people are looking up to you. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16 Another benefit of salt is that it gives flavour. You add flavour to your world. If it wasn’t for you, things would be dull and boring. Don’t be afraid to be ...

YOU ARE SPECIAL TO GOD

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light. 1 Peter 2:9 You are special to God. You are a priest and a king to God. He saved you by his grace and washed you in the blood of Jesus. He has made you righteous and blameless before Him. And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our own sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Revelation 1:5-6 You are unique and there is no one quite like you. Only you can do what you do the way that you do it. You do not have to compare yourself with others because you are different. You are hand crafted and made in God’s image and likeness. You are His masterpiece, fearfully and wonderfully made. Y...

DAILY BENEFITS

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation! Psalm 68:19 There are benefits that we can enjoy on a daily basis; this includes both spiritual and material blessings. Spiritual blessings like forgiveness, love, peace and joy, etc. Material blessings like health, provision, honor, life, etc. God daily loads us with benefits. When you are in need, God wants to provide for you. When you are sick, God wants you to heal you. When you are in trouble, God wants to deliver you. God is a good God and He is out to bless us. It is evident because He gave us His only Son, how will He not with Him also freely give us all things. He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:32 No wonder David could boldly say: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23:6 However, take note of wh...

HAVE A VISION

Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write down the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.” Habakkuk 2:2 When you get into your car and drive, you have to know exactly where you are going in order to know which route to take. Having a vision and writing it down is the same, you know exactly where you are going so you know which route to take in life. When you know where you are going, you will know how to get there. You know what is necessary and what you need to get rid of, all because of the vision you have written down. You know what it will take and the sacrifices you need to make in order to accomplish your vision. A vision gives you hope and a sense of direction. It gives you discipline. You know that you are going somewhere. You know that your best days are ahead of you and the best is yet to come. You have something to look forward to because of your vision. Commit your works to the LORD, and your thoughts will be established. Proverbs 16...
