HAVE A VISION
Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write down the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.”
Habakkuk 2:2
When you get into your car and drive, you
have to know exactly where you are going in order to know which route to take.
Having a vision and writing it down is the same, you know exactly where you are
going so you know which route to take in life. When you know where you are
going, you will know how to get there.
You know what is necessary and what you
need to get rid of, all because of the vision you have written down. You know
what it will take and the sacrifices you need to make in order to accomplish
your vision.
A vision gives you hope and a sense of
direction. It gives you discipline. You know that you are going somewhere. You
know that your best days are ahead of you and the best is yet to come. You have
something to look forward to because of your vision.
Commit your works to the LORD, and your
thoughts will be established.
Proverbs 16:3
When you have a vision and have written it
down, commit it to God. Pray for your vision because you need God’s help to
accomplish your vision. You need to have a big vision for your life so that God
can get involved in it. You need a vision that is big enough for God to work in
your life.
When you have a vision and you have written
it down and committed it to God, pursue it. Start small but think big. You
don’t have to start big, but you can think big about your future. Don’t despise
small beginnings.
Though your beginning was small, yet your
latter end would increase abundantly.
Job 8:7
Thought of the day: My vision gives me hope
and a sense of direction.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that I
can accomplish my vision because nothing is impossible to him who believes, in
the name of Jesus. Amen.
