FAITH THAT WORKS
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.
Hebrews 11:1-2
Faith is an important subject. Faith is a serious matter.
The Bible declares that without faith it is impossible to please God. So, faith
pleases God. Faith gets God on the scene.
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who
comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who
diligently seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6
What is faith?
1. Faith is
a law. There are natural laws. Faith is a spiritual law. Just like natural
laws, faith works all the time as long as the right conditions are met. Meaning
genuine faith works all the time like clockwork and produces results.
Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of
works? No, but by the law of faith.
Romans 3:27
2. Faith is
believing and speaking. Faith is not just mere believing. You have to express
your faith by speaking what you believe.
And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to
what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and
therefore speak.
2 Corinthians 4:13
3. Faith is
believing and acting. It is not enough that you just believe. You have to act
out your faith, because faith without works is dead.
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without
works is dead also.
James 2:26
There is much to be said about faith. There is faith that
creates, faith that moves mountains, faith that slays giants and faith for the
miraculous. Glory to God! When you have faith, you can change things and you
can get God on the scene.
Thought of the day: Faith changes things and faith gets God
on the scene.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me faith.
Thank You that my faith grows and becomes strong when I study Your Word, in the
name of Jesus. Amen.
