WORK IS A BLESSING

…for a worker is worthy of his food. Matthew 10:10 When you work you will eat. Work is a blessing not a curse. In the Garden of Eden, the first responsibility that God gave man was to work. You were created to work. You were created to produce. Sometimes people can fall into a trap of laziness. They make excuses like, “there are no jobs.” If there are no jobs, you can create one. God has made us to be creative beings. There is no need to be idle, if you look hard enough, you can find something to do. You can see a problem you can solve or a need you can meet and that is what entrepreneurs do. In all labor there is profit, but idle chatter leads only to poverty. Proverbs 14:23 There is a problem out there with your name on it. You were born as a solution to a problem. You can make a difference. Train your mind to think of solutions and solve problems. Use your mind, one of the best advices I have ever got was to work hard with my mind. So, there are no excuses not to work. You can alway...

NO MORE CURSE BUT THE BLESSING

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13-14 When you are born again, you are redeemed from the curse and the blessing of Abraham has come upon you. Glory to God! When things don’t seem to be working, it does not mean that you are cursed. It just means you need to do the Word. The Word of God is the manual for life, you have to live by the Word; there are no shortcuts. Many people are looking for blessings, however as a child of God you are already blessed, and no man can curse what God has blessed. You are blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ and the spiritual blessings produce the physical blessings. Blessed be the God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the hea...

DIRECTING YOUR HEART THROUGH YOUR GIVING

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:21 When your money is in the things of God, your heart will be in the things of God. You can direct heart through your giving. When you give first fruits, pay tithes, give offerings and partner with ministries, you direct your heart to be in the things of God. Your heart will follow your treasure. We ought to take giving to the kingdom of God seriously, because where our treasure is, there our hearts will be also. We should not serve money, but serve God with our money. Don’t let money dictate whether you can give to God or not. Serve God with your money. No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:24 First fruits, tithes, offerings and partnering with ministries help the kingdom of God to do well financially. They help to keep God’s work going. When we give to the kingdom of God,...

YOU ARE THE SALT IN YOUR WORLD

You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavour, how shall be it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. Matthew 5:13 You are the salt in your world. One of the benefits of salt is that it preserves. You preserve your world or your sphere of contact. You see if it wasn’t for believers around, things would get totally out of hand, where it would be evil continually. Thankfully, as a believer you influence your world. You can boldly live a life that pleases God because you preserve your world. If you were not there, things would fall apart. Stand out and distinguish yourself with a godly lifestyle, because people are looking up to you. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16 Another benefit of salt is that it gives flavour. You add flavour to your world. If it wasn’t for you, things would be dull and boring. Don’t be afraid to be ...

YOU ARE SPECIAL TO GOD

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light. 1 Peter 2:9 You are special to God. You are a priest and a king to God. He saved you by his grace and washed you in the blood of Jesus. He has made you righteous and blameless before Him. And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our own sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Revelation 1:5-6 You are unique and there is no one quite like you. Only you can do what you do the way that you do it. You do not have to compare yourself with others because you are different. You are hand crafted and made in God’s image and likeness. You are His masterpiece, fearfully and wonderfully made. Y...

DAILY BENEFITS

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation! Psalm 68:19 There are benefits that we can enjoy on a daily basis; this includes both spiritual and material blessings. Spiritual blessings like forgiveness, love, peace and joy, etc. Material blessings like health, provision, honor, life, etc. God daily loads us with benefits. When you are in need, God wants to provide for you. When you are sick, God wants you to heal you. When you are in trouble, God wants to deliver you. God is a good God and He is out to bless us. It is evident because He gave us His only Son, how will He not with Him also freely give us all things. He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:32 No wonder David could boldly say: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23:6 However, take note of wh...

HAVE A VISION

Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write down the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.” Habakkuk 2:2 When you get into your car and drive, you have to know exactly where you are going in order to know which route to take. Having a vision and writing it down is the same, you know exactly where you are going so you know which route to take in life. When you know where you are going, you will know how to get there. You know what is necessary and what you need to get rid of, all because of the vision you have written down. You know what it will take and the sacrifices you need to make in order to accomplish your vision. A vision gives you hope and a sense of direction. It gives you discipline. You know that you are going somewhere. You know that your best days are ahead of you and the best is yet to come. You have something to look forward to because of your vision. Commit your works to the LORD, and your thoughts will be established. Proverbs 16...

HUMBLE PEOPLE PRAISE OTHERS AND NOT THEMSELVES

Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger not your own lips. Proverbs 27:2 Have you ever met people who love to talk about themselves? People who can hold a conversation from start to finish just talking about themselves. They wouldn’t talk about anything that concerns the person that they are communicating with. That is not wisdom and that is not humility. Humble people don’t praise themselves. They shift the focus from themselves to others in order to bring out the best in others. Humble people love to praise others and not themselves. Humble people encourage, compliment and speak well of others in their conversations. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. Colossians 4:6 Uplift and speak well of others in your conversations. Instead of focusing on people’s shortcomings, highlight the good that people do. This is especially good for leadership. Leaders highlight the good that peopl...

HUMBLE PEOPLE PRAY

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 Our opening Scripture clearly states that if God’s people who are called by His name will humble themselves and pray. Humble people pray. Prayerful people are humble people. Proud people don’t pray because they think that they don’t have to. They fail to realize how much they need God. However, Jesus said that without Him we can do nothing. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. John 15:5 I submit to you that the first sign of humility is prayer. When you humble yourself before God in prayer, in due season, He will exalt you. When you humble yourself before God in prayer, you will also humble yourself before others. Likewise you younger people, submit to your elders. Yes, ...

PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. Jude 1:20 God wants you to be led by the Spirit, pray in the Spirit and walk in the Spirit. I like to put it this way, you are led by the Spirit to pray in the Spirit and then you walk in the Spirit. When you walk in the Spirit you will not fulfil the lust of the flesh. I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16 On the day of Pentecost when the disciples of Jesus received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, praying in tongues was the first gift they received. Furthermore, Paul said to the church at Corinth, “I thank my God I speak in tongues more that you all.” That goes to show how important praying in the Spirit is. I thank my God I speak in tongues more than you all. 1 Corinthians 14:18 Sometimes you do not know what to say or how to pray. God has given us the gift of tongues to pray effectively. When you pray in the Spirit you...

GOD LIKES YOU

The LORD your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17 Not only does God love you but God also likes you. God likes it when you spend time with Him. God longs for a relationship with you. God wants you to fellowship with Him. We see this in the Garden of Eden when God came to the man Adam. Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” Genesis 3:9 When Adam sinned, he became estranged from God, he no longer had an intimate relationship with God. He was separated from God. However, when man got lost, God made a way for man to be reconciled to Himself. Jesus is the way that man is reconciled to God. Now that you are reconciled to God, He likes you to spend time with Him. He likes you just the way you are, you don’t have to be like anybody else. You don’t have to have anyone’s gifts or personality. You are fearfully and wonderf...

GOOD SUCCESS

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Joshua 1:8 When you meditate on the Word of God you will have good success and not bad success. I would say that success that keeps you from your family and church is bad success. To meditate on the Word means to think upon and mutter the Word as if you were trying to memorize it and more often than not you do memorize it. You renew or upgrade your mind through meditation. Meditation gives you a success mentality and it brings you good success. Whatever you do can prosper and the key is meditation. Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is the law of the LORD, and in His law He meditates day and night. He shall be like a tr...

SPEAK WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE

Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears; let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’ Joel 3:10 Your marriage, ministry, business, relationships, health or finances may not be the way you want them to be. Instead of speaking what you see, you can change things by speaking what you want to see. The miracle is in your mouth. Faith speaks the things that are not as though they are. (As it is written, “I have made you father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed – God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did. Romans 4:17 Your life will go in the direction of your words. So don’t talk failure and defeat. Talk success and victory. You shall have whatever you say. You can mold your life with your words. You need to say it first before you see it manifest in your life. You need to speak life before you see life. But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, ...

SEEK GOD EARLY

With my soul I have desired You in the night, yes, by my spirit within me I will seek you early; for when Your judgements are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. Isaiah 26:9 They say the early bird catches the worm. Furthermore, it is said that if you want to be successful do what successful people do. We are all given 24 hours in a day and one thing that successful people do is start their day early while everybody else is sleeping. They utilize their given 24 hours in a day to the max. Imagine what would happen if you started to seek God in the early mornings while everybody else is sleeping. By the time everybody gets up, you would have already spent time with God and ready for the day ahead. Wouldn’t that keep you ahead in life? Emphatically yes! O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. Psalm 63:1 Imagine that before you engage with ot...

BE DILIGENT IN THE PURSUIT OF YOUR PURPOSE

He who has a slack hand becomes poor, but the hand of the diligent makes rich. Proverbs 10:4 Some people are diligent in the wrong jobs, jobs that they are not really good at or passionate about. Consequently, they are not fulfilled and they never become rich. I’m letting you know that you have to be diligent in the pursuit of your purpose because there is nothing on this earth that you can do better than your purpose. Discover your unique purpose and be diligent in the pursuit of your purpose. Your purpose is both what you are passionate about and good at, what you love and you do better than anything else. It entails your passion and gifts. When you are diligent in the pursuit of your purpose you will not end up poor but rich. The hand of the diligent will rule, but the lazy man will be put to forced labor. Proverbs 12:24 When you are diligent in the pursuit of your purpose you will become a leader. Leadership is not necessarily from position but from influence. When you ...

A GLORIOUS LIFE

To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27 When you have received Jesus Christ, He is in you and He is the hope of glory. Christ in you is the hope of glory in your ministry, your business, your relationships, your body, your finances and your whole life. When Christ manifests through you, glory manifests through you. When people see Christ through you, they see the glory of God through you. The more Christ is revealed in your life, the more the glory of God is revealed in your life. Hallelujah! Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. Isaiah 60:1 Your light has come, Jesus is your Light and He has brought glory into your life. When you arise and shine as the light of the world, people will start to see the glory of God. You will be living a glorious life. Your life is not an ordinary life; it is the life of glory...

KEPT SAFE BY THE WORD

Concerning the works of men, by the word of Your lips, I have kept away from the paths of the destroyer. Psalm 17:4 This is a beautiful verse. David is saying here that by the Word of God, he was able to keep away from paths of the destroyer. In other words, his life was kept safe and preserved by the Word of God. By the Word of God, he was able to live right and keep away from harm. The Word of God can keep you safe and preserve your life. When you study, meditate, obey and speak the Word, you are kept safe, away from the paths of the destroyer. When you go for the Word, you can experience a beautiful and glorious life, because life is in the Word In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. John 1:4 Study, meditate, obey and speak the Word and a beautiful and glorious life will follow. We pursue God and His Word and blessings pursue us, not the other way around. The Word of God will set you free, because deliverance is in the Word. Then Jesus said to those Jews w...

WINNING SOULS

A true witness delivers souls, but a deceitful witness speaks lies. Proverbs 14:25 Jesus said, “Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19) When you follow Jesus you will deliver souls. Others will follow Jesus because of you. As they see your manner of life and listen to your words, they will be convinced that Jesus is alive. Remember that you are the light of the world, so people are already looking at you. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Matthew 5:14 So, live in such a way that will impact other people’s lives, be a true witness. Just live a life of faith before others, just follow Jesus and others will soon follow you. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16 You can win souls and lead many to righteousness with your lifestyle and the words that you speak. Be ready in and out of season to share Jesus with others. You can start...

PRAY FOR PROSPERITY

Save now, I pray, O LORD; O LORD, I pray, send now prosperity. Psalm 118:25 Some people think that we shouldn’t pray for prosperity or that praying for prosperity is selfish. However, according to the above Scripture, the Psalmist prayed for prosperity. What do you know! It is Scriptural to pray for prosperity. God wants you prosper all the time; He wants you to prosper in all that you do and in every area of your life. We have been called to a life of prosperity. Prosperity is from God. Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2 Have you ever wondered, what would happen if you prayed the above Scripture verse? The Word of God teaches us not only how to live but also how to communicate with Him. You can pray Scriptures and when you do, you would be praying in line with God’s will. And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would b...

PERFECT PROSPERITY

The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; do not forsake the works of Your hands. Psalm 138:8 God wants you to have perfect prosperity, perfect health, perfect peace, etc. He wants to perfect that which concerns you. Your life should get better and better, greater and greater until there is nothing lacking and nothing missing. Now that’s God’s plan. But the path of the just is like the shining sun that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. Proverbs 4:18 In order for this to happen, you have to be plugged in to God’s unlimited supply. Look to God as your Source; don’t put your trust in man but in God. Rely on God’s grace. So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of hosts. Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”’” Zechariah 4:6...

LEARN TO DO GOOD

Learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow. Isaiah 1:17 The good that you do today will benefit you tomorrow. Learn to do good because when you do good today you are sowing good seeds into your future and good will be repaid back to you. That’s the law of life and the beauty of it. You can create a beautiful future by living a principled life today. You don’t have to be a victim; you can be a victor in life by sowing the right seeds. Years ago, I learnt that you are rewarded according to how you live your life. From that time on I became adamant to live right and to be a good person. That decision has helped me to stay on the right path, needless to say that it pays to live right. I’m living a blessed life because Jesus has made my life beautiful. God will reward you for staying on the right path. Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Isaiah 3:10 You can choos...

THERE IS NO ROOM FOR CONFUSION

Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. Psalm 97:11 The world walks in darkness, they don’t know what makes them stumble, but light is sown for the righteous. As a child of God, you don’t have walk in confusion or darkness because light is sown for you. You are a child of the light and Jesus is your Light. Take advantage of the Light and don’t walk in darkness. Then Jesus spoke to them again saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12 You might be faced with a predicament and you feel like you don’t know where to go or what to do. Have no worry, anxiety or stress. Just be cool and relax because God already knew about it and He has the solution. Light is sown for you, just pray about it and the solution will come. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God; and the peace of God, whic...

THERE IS HOPE FOR YOU

There is hope in your future, says the LORD… Jeremiah 31:17 Child of God, I’m telling you that there is hope for you in your future. As you keep to the right path, seeking God and serving Him, your faith cannot be denied and things will definitely get better. You have been called into an ever-increasing life, there is hope for you. Your life is from faith to faith, strength to strength, grace to grace and glory to glory. Hallelujah! But the path of the just is like the shinning sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. Proverbs 4:18 Just keep your hope alive, don’t quit, and never give up. If things don’t look good at the moment, cheer up the best is yet to come; your best days are ahead of you. Be filled with hope, Jesus is on the throne, He reigns on high and He has a beautiful life planned for you. Moreover, Jesus ever lives to make intercession for you and His promises are yes and amen. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those that come to...

PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE

Who is like a wise man? And who knows the interpretation of a thing? A man’s wisdom makes his face shine, and the sternness of his face is changed. Ecclesiastes 8:1 People are drawn to people with warm faces and this is the condition of people of wisdom. Wisdom brings joy and peace. Wisdom lightens up your face. It makes you stay in a lightened-up mood. People of wisdom have a glow on them. Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Proverbs 4:5 The Bible tells us to get wisdom and understanding. Where is your focus? When you focus on the world and what it has to say, you will have stress, worry and anxiety. But, when you focus on the wisdom of God, you will be in a lightened-up mood. Fear comes from the world, but faith comes from the Word which is the wisdom of God. You cannot be full of the Word and fear at the same time. You cannot be full of the wisdom of God and be full of stress, worry and anxiety at the same time. When yo...

LIVING RIGHTEOUSLY WILL DELIVER YOU FROM TROUBLE

“Thus the Lord has dealt with me, in the days when He looked on me, to take away my reproach among people.” Luke 1:25 Our opening Scripture records the words of Elizabeth who had been barren and now she had conceived. God took away her reproach. When you live righteously, God will take away your reproach. When you live righteously, God will deliver you from trouble. The righteous is delivered from trouble, and it comes to the wicked instead. Proverbs 11:8 It does not matter how long you have been in a challenging situation, if you keep on living righteously God will take away your reproach. That is what breakthrough is all about, you have been doing things right in unfavorable circumstances until suddenly things begin to change and you experience breakthrough. If you will live righteously, you will see the faithfulness of God. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful and He remains ...
