WALK BEFORE THE LORD AND BE HOLY

When Abraham was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.

Genesis 17:1

Some people think that to be holy is a difficult thing to do and yes, it is difficult if you try to do it in your own strength. However, God gave us insight on how to be holy, He said to Abram, “walk before Me and be blameless.” You can put it this way, “walk before Me and be holy” or “walk before Me and bear the fruit of the Spirit.”

When you walk before the Lord, when you walk with Him or when you spend time with Him, you will live a holy life. So, spend time with God and be holy. You can only live a holy life when you spend time with God. There are no two ways about it and there are no short cuts.

When you spend time with God He will change you and you will bear the fruit of the Spirit. The more you spend time with God, the more you become like Him. He changes you from the inside out.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such there is no law.

Galatians 5:22-23

Some people want to change without spending time with God and this is an impossible task. They want God to mold them and shape them form a distance.

How can the potter mold clay at a distance? No, the potter must use his hands to mold the clay. Similarly, when you want God to change you, He will do it in His presence. His presence will change you. Spend time with God every day and you will be like Him.

As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness, I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness.

Psalm 17:15

Though of the day: The more I spend time with God the more I become like Him.

Confession: I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living.

MAKING POWER AVAILABLE

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
