BE A LEADER
Let no one seek his own, but each one each other’s well-being.
1 Corinthians 10:24
Paul by the Spirit is telling the church at Corinth and us
that we should seek other’s well-being. That is what leadership is about.
Leadership is about adding value to others; seeking other’s well-being.
Leaders don’t only care about themselves but others. When
you are a leader you should make a difference in other people’s lives and move
humanity forward, you cannot carry this out by seeking only your own interests.
Look out for others! Think about how you can serve others
and how you can use your gifts to benefit others, above all be led by the
Spirit in doing so.
We need to take from the example that Jesus portrayed. Jesus
was a Servant Leader and He showed us how to do it. We are here to serve.
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to
serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.
Mark 10:45
Servitude is at the center of successful leadership! We are
here to serve God and serve others. Servitude is the key to greatness!
Servitude is the key of the kingdom of God. The greatest in the kingdom of God
is the servant of all.
But Jesus called them to Himself and said, "You know
that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great
exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever
desires to be great among you, let him be your servant.
Matthew 20:25-26
So don’t live for yourself, but live for the Lord and to
serve others. Serve the Lord by serving others. Love the Lord and love people.
Don’t only look out for yourself, be a leader and look out for others.
Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but
also for the interests of others.
Philippians 2:4
Thought of the day: I’m called to be a leader who looks out
for other’s well-being.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for an opportunity to
lead and look out for other’s well-being, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
