REST
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
Matthew 11:28-30
Rest in God’s love for you, rest in His promises, and rest
in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Rest does not mean inactivity, however,
you rest inwardly. You are not bothered about many things, you are at ease.
You rest from stress, worry and anxiety, and you are filled
with love, peace and joy. You find rest for your soul. This rest is found in
Jesus. We should labor to enter this rest.
There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he
who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from
His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone should fall
according to the same example of disobedience.
Hebrews 4:9-11
Your faith works in this posture of rest. You have rest for
your soul; you have the mind of Christ, a sound mind. The world wants you to be
fearful, doubtful and be in unbelief, but Jesus wants you to rest and be in
faith. Jesus wants you to be stress free and in faith!
Behold the proud, his soul is not upright in him; but the
just shall live by his faith.
Habakkuk 2:4
We are living in stressful times and there are lots of daily
demands. However, when you live a life of rest, you will accomplish much more.
You will be fruitful and productive. So cast all your care upon Jesus and rest.
Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
1 Peter 5:7
Thought of the day: I find rest in Jesus!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that I can cast my care
on You and rest, thank You that I can accomplish more from the posture of rest,
in the name of Jesus. Amen.
