SAVED BY GRACE
For by grace you have been saved through
faith, and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God, not of works lest
anyone should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9
We are saved by grace and not by our good
works. You cannot earn your salvation, no matter how many good deeds you get
involved in. Salvation is a free gift of God that you receive by faith in the
Lord Jesus.
If salvation is a free gift of God, then
why are so many people not born again? That’s because the devil has blinded
them. They need our prayers so that God can move on their behalf. God does not
intervene unless we ask Him to do it.
We need to pray for the lost; we need to
pray for souls. You can start by praying for people close to you like family
members, relatives, friends, neighbors, colleagues, etc. When you have adequately
prayed for others then you can share the gospel with them. If not at least
invite them to church.
Who has believed our report? And to whom
has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
Isaiah 53:1
We are saved by grace and others can only
be saved by grace. We need to start praying for the salvation of others.
Remember, when you follow Jesus, He will make you a fisher of men; He will make
you a soul winner.
You win souls by your prayers, lifestyle
and witnessing. Before you witness to others, pray for them. They need God to
make them see; they need the grace of God.
In light of our opening Scripture even our
faith is not our own, it is a gift of God.
He has dealt to us who believe a measure of faith. We are saved by grace
and our salvation is a gift of God. Thank God for His grace.
For I say, through the grace given to me,
to everyone who is among you, not to think more highly than he ought to think,
but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
Romans 12:3
Thought of the day: I am saved by grace.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your
grace and thank You for saving me, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
