BEAR FRUITS WORTHY OF REPENTANCE
Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance.
Matthew 3:8
When you believe in Jesus and receive Him as your Lord and
Savior, you have to bear fruits worthy of repentance. The Bible says that you
will know them by their fruits not by them professing to be Christians. When
you give your life to Christ He changes you and you begin to bear fruit.
Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s
clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their
fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so,
every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree
cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does
not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their
fruits you will know them.
Matthew 7:15-20
What if you were not bearing good fruit up to this point,
you need to repent, commit your life to Christ and start bearing good fruit.
A child of God is known by his or her fruit. You don’t have
to go around telling people that you are a Christian, your fruits should do the
talking. Your actions speak louder than your words!
To be a Christian means to be Christ-like. When you follow
Jesus you will bear fruit, you will walk in the light because Jesus is your
Light.
When you are born again, you are a child of the Light so
walk in the Light. Follow Jesus and you will not walk in darkness. Yield to the
Holy Spirit and He will transform you from the inside out and you will bear
fruits worthy of repentance.
Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the
heavenly vision, but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and
throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should
repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance.
Acts 25:19-20
Thought of the day: I will be known by my fruit.
Prayer of salvation: Heavenly Father, I believe in Jesus, I
believe that He died for me and You raised Him from the dead. I receive Jesus
as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
