FOLLOW YOUR PASTOR
And I will give you shepherd according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.
Jeremiah 3:15
Your pastor is appointed for you to feed you with knowledge
and understanding. However you see many Christians who don’t come to church and
miss their pastor’s messages that are meant for their benefit.
Learn to attend church faithfully, go to church every
Sunday. You need your pastor’s messages. Your pastor is appointed by God for your
benefit and he has the word in season for you.
A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of
silver.
Proverbs 25:11
Learn to listen to your pastor’s messages and it will save
you a lot of trouble. Many Christians fall into many problems because they
don’t follow their pastor’s messages.
God has sent your pastor to you to teach you and lead you in
the way of the Lord. When you have problems, your pastor can help you because
God has given him the wisdom to help you. A shepherd can help his own sheep.
Don’t run to other man of God to help you.
Your own pastor will feed you with knowledge and
understanding. That is not to say that you can’t listen to other pastor’s
messages. By all means you can listen to other men of God but when your pastor
preaches, you should be there because he has a word in season for you.
Your pastor is very important and you should value him. Pray
for your pastor, be there when he preaches. Follow his messages. Support him in
his work, you need him and he needs you.
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some
evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for
the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.
Ephesians 4:11
Thought of the day: I have to value my pastor, pray for him
and support him in his work.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the pastor that You
have given to me according to Your heart, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
