LIFE IS IN THE WORD

In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

John 1:5

Jesus is the One called the Word of God. He is the Word that became flesh. Life is in Him; life is in the Word of God. People everywhere are looking for life and they look for it in relationships, religion, achievements, material possessions and so forth. However, our opening Scripture gives us insight that life is not found in those things, life is found in the Word of God. The Word of God will give life to other areas of your life.

That should tell you how absolutely vital and essential the Word of God is. Jesus said that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. The Word of God is of paramount importance.

But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’”

Matthew 4:4

Do you want life? Then go for the Word. Keep the Word first place and make it a priority in your life. Make the Word of God your daily companion. Love it, study it, and meditate upon it.

So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

Acts 20:32

Jesus is the Bread of life; the Word of God is the Bread of life. When you keep feeding on the Word, it becomes part of you. You end up thinking God’s thoughts and experiencing the life of God, the abundant life that Jesus came for you to have.

Feed on the Word and end up bearing the fruit of the Spirit and producing good works. Feed on the Word and end up living in health, prosperity and wholeness. Feed on the Word and experience the life because life is in the Word.

I am the bread of life.

John 6:48

Thought of the day: When I feed on the Word, I will experience life.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word and the life that is in Your Word, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

THE POWER OF THE WORD

“Is not My word like a fire?” says the LORD “And like the hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?” Jeremiah 23:29 The word of God will purify you and break your stony heart. The word of God will make you holy and soften your heart. If you will give yourself to the word it will change you. SAVED BY GRACE

    For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 We are saved by grace and not by our good works. You cannot earn your salvation, no matter how many good deeds you get involved in. Salvation is a free gift of God that you receive by faith in the Lord Jesus. If salvation is a free gift of God, then why are so many people not born again? That’s because the devil has blinded them.
