THE SECRET OF THE LORD

The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant.

Psalm 25:14

There are secrets of the kingdom of God; keys that will cause you to flourish when you apply them. However, this time David shows us that there is the main secret, and he calls it the secret of the LORD. He uses a definite article “the secret” not “a secret,” furthermore, “the secret” is in the singular form not plural.

What is the secret of the LORD? He let us know in the verse that follows.

My eyes are ever toward the LORD, for He shall pluck my feet out of the net.

Psalm 25:15

David says here that he will fix his eyes or focus on God and God will pluck his feet out of the net that the enemy has laid out for him. In other words, David is saying here that he will seek God and God will deliver him out of every trouble. The secret of the Lord is seeking God, spending time with Him and focusing on Him. The secret of the Lord is intimacy with God.

Some people want the principles or the keys of the kingdom but neglect the secret of the Lord which is spending time with Him. God is a God of relationship. You are called into fellowship with the Lord.

God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Corinthians 1:9

Seeking God and spending time with Him is the most important thing. That is the secret of the Lord and the secret of great men of God, like Abraham, Moses and David. God’s principles remain the same. The secret of great men of God which is intimacy with God, still works even today.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Matthew 6:33

Thought of the day: The secret of the Lord is intimacy with God.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for revealing Your secret to me. Thank You that the more I spend time with You, the more You deliver me out of every trouble, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

GOD CAUSES US TO GROW

And not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God. Colossians 2:19 Your growth and increase comes from God! You cannot expect to grow if you don’t spent time with God and if you don’t go to church. God is the One who causes you to grow. SAVED BY GRACE

    For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 We are saved by grace and not by our good works. You cannot earn your salvation, no matter how many good deeds you get involved in. Salvation is a free gift of God that you receive by faith in the Lord Jesus. If salvation is a free gift of God, then why are so many people not born again? That’s because the devil has blinded them.
