THINK EXCELLENT THOUGHTS

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy – meditate on these things.

Philippians 4:8

Excellent thoughts bring about joy and peace in one’s life; excellent thoughts attract blessings. If you want to have a beautiful life, think excellent thoughts; thoughts that are consistent with the Word.

You have the mind of Christ; you have a sound, excellent and creative mind. Refrain from thinking discouraging and self-defeating thoughts, refuse to dwell on the negative and think positive thoughts. Train your mind to think constructive and excellent thoughts; thoughts that encourage and build you up.

You are the only one who can choose what you think about. Just because something crossed your mind it does not mean that you should dwell on it. The Bible admonishes us to guard our hearts and we do that by guarding our thoughts because what you constantly think about eventually works its way into your heart.

Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.

Proverbs 4:23

Stop thinking about how they have wronged you or how they don’t like you, stop dwelling on the negative. People are not perfect, so choose to forgive and move on. Don’t clutter your mind with the negative. Choose to eliminate toxic thoughts.

You also don’t have to dwell on everything that you hear. If it doesn’t build you up, it can tear you down. Be selective in your thinking because your life is shaped by your thoughts.

Let the Word dominate your thinking. What does the Word say about you and that which concerns you? Meditate on those things. Think excellent thoughts because your life goes in the direction of your thoughts.

Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.

1 Timothy 4:15

Though of the day: I have to be selective in my thinking because my life goes in the direction of my thoughts.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that I can choose what to think about. Thank You that when I choose the right thoughts, my life goes in the right direction, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

YOU LIVE IN THE ARK

Now the flood was on the earth forty days. The waters increased and lifted the ark, and it rose high above the earth. Genesis 7:17 When the Lord destroyed the earth with the flood, there was a flood for forty days and forty nights, Noah and his family where in the ark, as the water rose, the ark rose above the waters. As a child of God, figuratively, you live in the ark. The world around you may be going through trouble but you are safe in the ark. You are in the world but you are not of the world. As a believer you can enlighten other people’s darkness; you can make them see. You are the light of the world. You are a leader with solutions. You can win souls and lead many to righteousness.
